DULIAJAN, Sept 9: The Zaloni Ladies Club provided one-time financial assistance to 41 meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds under its educational initiative, ‘Literary Drive’, at a financial aid presentation ceremony held on September 6.
The beneficiaries, who secured outstanding results in the Class X and Class XII examinations, received the assistance to support their higher education and pursue their academic aspirations.
The assistance was handed over to the students in the presence of their parents by Zaloni Ladies Club president Srutimala Bora, vice-president Nabamallika Goswami and advisers Dr Leena Das, Sushmita Baruah and Juri Gogoi.
Secretary Dr Falguni Roy Barua, joint secretary Shabina Yasmeen Islam, project convener Sangita Baruah Chetia and co-convener Urmimala Gogoi, along with other senior members of the club, also attended the programme.
Through ‘Literary Drive’, the club aims to encourage deserving students from economically weaker sections to continue their education and work towards their aspirations.
