Dhubri: Amid the festive celebrations of Kali Puja, a devastating fire broke out in the Hawker Market area of Kamala Patty in Dhubri town, triggering panic among residents and traders.
According to reports, the blaze spread rapidly, engulfing 10 to 12 shops, including several clothing outlets and other commercial establishments. Witnesses described scenes of chaos as flames shot high into the night sky, and locals rushed to alert the authorities.
Fire service personnel arrived promptly at the scene and battled the flames for several hours before bringing the situation under control, thereby preventing the fire from spreading further into the densely packed market area.
