Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen is urging stronger public backing for local products and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to build a self-sustaining grassroots economy. Speaking in Kangpokpi after tuning into Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” broadcast alongside BJP Sadar Hills workers, Kipgen emphasized that community-led enterprises are essential for creating viable livelihood opportunities and driving regional prosperity.
Echoing the Prime Minister’s “Vocal for Local” campaign, the Deputy Chief Minister called for a collective push to empower regional entrepreneurs and strengthen grassroots institutions. Kipgen reminded party functionaries that active economic participation at the local level is the foundation for social empowerment.
Urging workers to remain committed to public service, she highlighted that focusing on inclusive community development will directly advance the broader national visions of a “Viksit Manipur” and “Viksit Bharat.”
