ASSEB announces HSLC 2027 form fill-up schedule

The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has announced the online form fill-up schedule for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2027, with the process beginning on October 12 and closing on November 10, 2026.

Candidates will have to submit their forms through the official online examination portal. The board has fixed November 12 as the last date for online fee payment or challan generation. Challan payments can be deposited at the State Bank of India until November 16, while corrections must be uploaded by November 19.

ASSEB has made it clear that no subject-related corrections will be accepted after November 19.

Students will use the same user ID and password issued during Class IX registration to access the examination portal. Those who have lost or forgotten their credentials have been asked to contact the Member Secretary of the concerned ASSEB regional office.

The examination fee has been fixed at Rs 700, along with a practical examination fee of Rs 150 wherever applicable and a centre fee of Rs 350. Each institution will also have to pay an Annual Recognition Fee of Rs 1,000.

Eligible students of government, provincialized and recognised schools will be exempted from the examination fee if their parents’ annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs 4 lakh. The exemption is applicable to candidates registered in Class IX in 2024 and 2025.

Parents or guardians seeking the exemption must submit an application to the Head of the Institution. Schools will verify the required documents before granting the benefit.

ASSEB has directed candidates to complete the HSLC 2027 form fill-up through the same school where they completed their Class IX registration. Submission through another institution will not be allowed unless the registration has been formally transferred.

The board also stated that students who did not appear in the Class IX Unit Tests and Half-Yearly Examination will not be eligible to sit for the HSLC Examination 2027.

Meanwhile, the online portal for entering Internal Assessment (IA) marks for the examination is scheduled to open on December 14, 2026. Schools will be required to enter the IA marks of their respective candidates through the designated portal.
