ITANAGAR, Oct 23: The Adi Bane Kebang United Youth Wing (ABKU-YW), along with SAYA, SIFF Youth Wing and the Adi Galo Welfare Society, has called a 12-hour bandh across East Siang, Siang and Upper Siang districts of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday.
The bandh will be observed from 5 am to 5 pm under a joint banner, according to the announcement.
Essential medical services, medical emergencies and personnel on official duty, including magistrates and paramilitary forces, have been exempted from the shutdown.
The organisers said the bandh would be conducted peacefully as a democratic movement and appealed to the public to cooperate.
The announcement did not specify the reasons behind the bandh.
