UDALGURI/SONITPUR, Oct 26: A road connecting the Mazbat–Orang Rupa Road to Madhab Seva Samiti in Mazbat, Udalguri district, was officially named ‘Bishnu Jyoti Path’ on Sunday, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the local community.
Shyam Chundi, Member of the Panchnoi Serfang constituency, inaugurated the newly named road by cutting a ceremonial ribbon at a function attended by office-bearers of Madhab Seva Samiti, senior citizens, local women and other residents.
A discussion meeting was held at the premises of Madhab Seva Samiti following the inauguration. During the meeting, Chundi assured those present of his continued commitment to serving the people and addressing their needs.
The naming ceremony was organised to honour two eminent personalities and recognise their contributions. The occasion marked a significant moment for the people of Mazbat, reflecting their respect for the two personalities and their collective aspirations.
