Hundreds of fans thronged Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s residence, Mannat, in Mumbai on November 2 to celebrate his 61st birthday and catch a glimpse of the actor.
Admirers arrived from across the country, including Kolkata and Nanded, to join the celebrations. One fan expressed excitement while speaking to the media, while a visitor from Kolkata said he had travelled all the way to Mumbai to see the actor. Another fan from Nanded said he had been away from home for three days to attend the occasion.
Adding to the celebrations, Mannat was illuminated with large-scale projections featuring visuals and dialogues from Khan’s upcoming film King. The display included the lines “King Akela Kaafi Hai” and “Darr Nahi, Dehshat Hoon”. Earlier, the Bandra-Worli Sea Link was also lit up with birthday greetings and images of the superstar.
Mumbai Police strengthened security outside the residence, deploying personnel to manage the crowds, regulate traffic and check vehicles.
On his birthday, Khan also unveiled “Tu Mil Jaaye”, the first song from King, featuring Deepika Padukone. Sung by Arijit Singh and Madhubanti Bagchi, the track was composed by Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics by Kumaar.
The song showcases the romantic chemistry between Khan and Padukone while offering hints of the darker elements of the film’s storyline. Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026.
The celebrations highlighted Khan’s enduring popularity, as fans gathered outside Mannat to mark the occasion.
