Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on November 7 said 28 illegal migrants detected by Sribhumi Police had been expelled from the state as part of the government’s ongoing drive against illegal infiltration.
Announcing the development on X, Sarma asserted that Assam would continue its action against illegal infiltration, ruling out any compromise on border security and the state’s identity.
“Assam’s patience with illegal infiltration is over,” the Chief Minister wrote, reiterating his government’s resolve to sustain the drive with determination.
He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to preventing illegal infiltration and safeguarding Assam’s borders.
