Arunachal Pradesh Police seized around 18 kg of cannabis and apprehended one person during a joint anti-narcotics operation with Gajraj Military Intelligence in West Kameng district on Saturday.
Acting on intelligence inputs, security personnel intercepted a suspected drug consignment at Dahung in the Dahung-Tenga area around 10.30 am. The cannabis was allegedly being transported from Boha village under Khalaktang Circle to Tezpur in Assam.
The apprehended individual was handed over to Singchung Police Station. Police registered a case and launched an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the transportation of the contraband.
