Bajali: In a major boost to women’s education and empowerment, the Assam Government today distributed cheques under its flagship scheme, ‘Chief Minister Nijut Moina 2.0’, at a ceremonial event held at B.H.B. College, Sarupeta.
The initiative aims to empower 10 lakh girl students across Assam by providing financial assistance for higher education, thereby promoting continued learning, reducing child marriage, and increasing female enrollment in colleges.

The event was anchored by Dr. Kalpana Baishya, Nodal Officer of the scheme, who also offered the vote of thanks, while Dr. Nayan Jyoti Das presided and welcomed dignitaries. Navadeep Kalita, Director of AIDC, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, lauding the government’s vision to make higher education accessible to all girls.
