The film’s production team had taken pride in its successful release, but the joy was short-lived as pirated copies of the movie began circulating on various online platforms.
The production team of “Roi Roi Binale” has filed a formal complaint with the Dispur Police against the illegal digital piracy of the movie. According to reports, several Telegram channels, a website link, and an Instagram account were found to be actively circulating pirated copies and video clips of the film without authorization. The police have acknowledged the complaint and an investigation is currently underway.
The news of the film’s piracy has sparked outrage among fans and supporters of Zubeen Garg, who have been flocking to theaters to watch “Roi Roi Binale” since its release. The film has broken box office records, becoming the 8th highest-grossing Assamese movie in just 48 hours, with a collection of Rs 4.58 crore net in two days.
