Assam Rifles commemorates 150 years of Rastriya Geet Vande Mataram 

Biswanath Chariali: Assam Rifles organized a solemn programme to commemorate 150 years of Rashtriya Geet ‘Vande Mataram’ at Lokra, Assam on Nov 7, informed a press release.

The event was conducted to honour the historic legacy of the national song Vande Mataram, evoking patriotism, unity and national pride.

The commemoration ceremony witnessed participation from over 100 Assam Rifles personnel along with local civilians and students from nearby areas.

The event began with a brief narration on the origin and significance of Vande Mataram, followed by collective singing of the song that resonated with patriotic fervour.

The initiative not only honoured one of India’s most inspiring patriotic symbols but also reinforced Assam Rifles’ commitment to fostering national integration and community bonding across the North East.
