Security concerns were heightened on Thursday, 13 November, after a youth attempted to enter the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court in Sribhumi while carrying a sharp weapon, triggering alarm within the premises.
The individual, identified as Fakarul Islam, was stopped at the entrance after the security scanner detected the concealed weapon. Police personnel stationed at the court immediately detained him and recovered the item before taking him to Sadar Police Station for questioning.
Preliminary information indicated that he is a resident of Sararpar in Ramkrishnanagar, Sribhumi. The motive behind his attempt to enter the courtroom armed has not yet been established.
Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Legal professionals present at the court described the episode as unprecedented in Sribhumi’s judicial history.
