Missing man’s body recovered from Boko River

The body of a man who went missing on the afternoon of 15 November was recovered from the Boko River on 16 November. The deceased was identified as 55-year-old Harmohan Kalita of Bakarapara in Boko.

Officials said the body was found behind the Boko Forest Office, after which Boko Police responded to the spot. A State Disaster Response Force team subsequently carried out the recovery.

Kalita had reportedly gone missing around 3 p.m. on 15 November, prompting a search operation. Authorities said an inquiry was under way to determine the circumstances leading to his death.
