Nagaon: The 28th Boro Martyrs’ Cup Football Championship organized by the Boro Shahid Nyas and managed by the Langhin Tiniali Sports Association, concluded successfully today at the Garoimari Stadium in Langhin.
Phuloni Sports Association emerged as the champion, defeating Thabal FC of Hojai 2-0 in the final match.

The final match, attended by nearly 7,000 spectators, saw Phuloni Sports Association’s Munin Goyari scoring the first goal in the 3rd minute. Thabal FC’s players put up a strong fight but failed to score, and Phuloni Sports Association’s Rajen Milik sealed the win with a goal in the 87th minute.
The winner’s trophy was awarded to the Phuloni Sports Association by the chief guest, MLA Dorsing Ronghang, and other dignitaries. Munin Goyari was declared the best player, Gobin Terang the best goalkeeper, Sanju Timung the best defender, and Attam Meitei of Thabal FC the top scorer. The tournament was a grand success, with local cultural performances and enthusiastic support from the audience.
