Two Haflong College Cadets Selected for Republic Day Camp 2026

In a proud moment for Assam’s Dima Hasao district, two National Cadet Corps (NCC) girl cadets from Haflong Government College have been selected to participate in the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026.

Senior Under Officer Archana Chetri and Senior Under Officer Sangeeta Kemparai secured their places after clearing a rigorous and highly competitive selection process that identifies the best NCC cadets from across the country. Their selection followed months of disciplined training, sustained effort and perseverance.

Officials said the cadets were mentored by trained instructors from the Assam Rifles, whose guidance played a key role in shaping their performance. The achievement was described as a reflection of the Assam Rifles’ continued commitment to youth development and empowerment, particularly in remote and aspirational regions.

Selection for the Republic Day Camp is regarded as the highest honour for NCC cadets, providing an opportunity to represent their state and institution on a national platform during the country’s most significant ceremonial event.

As the two cadets prepare to march along Kartavya Path in New Delhi, they are carrying the pride of Dima Hasao and are expected to inspire young girls across the district and the wider Northeast to pursue excellence through discipline, service and determination.
