Arunachal Pradesh Government Reassigns Portfolios of Senior Officials in Administrative Reshuffle

Itanagar, Jan 17: The Arunachal Pradesh government has carried out a routine administrative reshuffle, reallocating responsibilities among several senior officials to streamline departmental functioning. The changes were notified through an official order issued on January 16 and came into effect immediately.

The reshuffle covers four IAS officers, one Indian Forest Service officer and a few officers from the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Services. The order was issued under the authority of Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta as part of regular administrative adjustments within the state government.

Under the revised arrangement, Transport Commissioner Saugat Biswas has been given additional charge as Commissioner (Law). Rajesh Kumar, who is serving as Secretary (Administrative Reforms and Training), has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Secretary (Personnel and Vigilance). YVVJ Rajasekhar, Secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board, has been assigned the additional charge of Secretary (Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Dairy Development), relieving H Tari from that role.

Indian Forest Service officer Koj Rinya, currently holding the post of Secretary (Horticulture), has been given the additional responsibility of Member of the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board, replacing N Ete. Among officers of the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Services, Hage Lailyang, Joint Secretary (Hydropower Development), has been assigned the additional charge of Joint Secretary (Personnel), while Mika Nyori, Joint Secretary in the Public Works Department, will also serve as Joint Secretary (Home).

The state government clarified that the reallocation of charges is a routine administrative measure aimed at ensuring continuity, efficiency and smooth functioning across departments.
