Baksa: Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 was formally launched on Friday at the Adalbari Community Hall in Baksa district under NITI Aayog’s Aspirational District Programme, marking a renewed push towards achieving complete saturation of key development indicators. The initiative aims to strengthen holistic development in Baksa by ensuring 100 per cent coverage of critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across priority sectors such as health, nutrition, education, and agriculture. The launch programme saw participation from senior district officials, public representatives, and heads of departments, reflecting a strong multi-sectoral commitment.
Additional District Commissioner Mustafa Salim Ahmed, while welcoming the gathering, highlighted the district’s progress over the past two years under the Aspirational District Programme. He noted that Baksa has shown significant improvement across various departmental parameters and stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to achieve full saturation of identified indicators. Urging collective action, he emphasised that benefits must effectively reach the grassroots. District Commissioner Gautam Das, in his address, underlined the need to sustain earlier gains and adopt a mission-mode approach for successful implementation of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0. He said all departments have a crucial role in accelerating progress, especially in areas that still face challenges.

BTC Secretary Manas Das, ACS, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to working closely with all stakeholders to meet the programme’s objectives through integrated planning. Under the campaign, special focus will be given to supplementary nutrition for young children, functional Anganwadi centres, girls’ toilet facilities in schools, and complete vaccination of bovine animals against Foot and Mouth Disease within a stipulated timeframe. The event was attended by MCLA Diganta Goyari, former MLA Thaneswar Basumatary, and departmental heads.
