Guwahati: An official joint meeting of the Tour, Fixture and Technical Committee and the Senior Tournament Committee of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) was held recently at the ACA Office in Guwahati to review preparations for major domestic tournaments in the 2025–26 season.
The meeting was chaired by Sankar Dutta Lahakar, Chairman of the Tour, Fixture and Technical Committee. Among those present were Mukunanda Bhattacharya, Member of the ACA Apex Council, Pritom Mahanta, Chief Executive Officer of the Assam Cricket Association, Dr. Bishnu Ram Nunisa, Member of the Senior Tournament Committee, along with other senior and esteemed committee members.

The primary focus of the meeting was the finalisation of venues and match fixtures for the Second Round of the APCC Tournament and the 5th Nilay Dutta Inter-University Cricket Tournament for the upcoming 2025–26 season. Committee members engaged in detailed discussions to streamline scheduling, logistics and technical arrangements.
Emphasis was laid on effective coordination among stakeholders to ensure the smooth and timely conduct of the tournaments. The committees also reviewed operational aspects related to ground readiness, team movement and match management. The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to maintaining high organisational standards and providing a competitive and well-structured platform for players, reaffirming the ACA’s dedication to the development of cricket across Assam.
