Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has shortlisted 32 players for the Senior Men’s Trial-Cum-Selection Camp ahead of the 2026-27 Ranji Trophy season. According to an ACA press release, the selection camp will commence in Guwahati from September 5. The camp is expected to play a crucial role in identifying and finalising the squad for Assam’s upcoming domestic first-class campaign. The shortlisted players are Pradyun Saikia, Rajveer Singh, Bishal Saha, Nibir Deka, Rituraj Biswas, Sibsankar Roy, Denish Das, Nihar Deka, Sumit Ghadigaonkar, Ayush Agarwal, Anurag Talukdar, Mohit Thakur, Rohit Singh, Rahul Singh, Avinav Choudhury, Bhargab Pratim Lahkar, Amlanjyoti Das, Mukhtar, Dibakar Johri, Ayushman Malakar, Abdul Kuraishi, Darshan, Sunil Lachit, Deepjyoti Saikia, Roshan, Mrinmoy, Bishal Newar, Hridip Deka, Akash, Jay Borah, Rishav Das and Swarupam Purkayastha.

The trial-cum-selection camp will provide the shortlisted players an opportunity to demonstrate their form, fitness and skills before the final Ranji Trophy squad is selected. The 2026-27 season will be another important campaign for Assam, with the state side looking to build a competitive squad capable of making a strong impact in India’s premier domestic first-class tournament.
