AGP Leaders Unite in Emotional Tribute to Zubeen Garg with Special Screening of Roi Roi Binale

Guwahati: In a rare show of unity that transcended politics, ministers, MLAs, and workers of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) gathered at Narengi Gold Cinema Hall in Guwahati on Thursday to attend a special screening of Zubeen Garg’s final cinematic work, Roi Roi Binale.

The party had booked 218 seats for the 11 a.m. show, which turned into an emotional tribute to the late music legend who continues to inspire generations across Assam. Fans began arriving as early as 8 a.m., filling the hall with heartfelt admiration and nostalgia for the beloved artiste.

AGP ministers Atul Bora and Keshab Mahanta, along with several senior leaders and party workers, were seen seated among the audience, watching the film with deep appreciation.

“Today is not about politics,” one party member remarked. “Everyone has come together to celebrate Zubeen Da — the voice of Assam.”

The screening reflected a collective sentiment resonating across the state, where Roi Roi Binale has become more than just a movie — a farewell celebration of Zubeen Garg’s creative brilliance and enduring legacy.

Earlier, on October 30, Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika, during his visit to Gohpur, urged the people of Assam to watch the film, describing Zubeen Garg as one of the most influential figures in the state’s cultural landscape over the past three decades. He also expressed his intention to watch the much-anticipated film himself.
