Nazira: The Nazira Regional Committee of the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva-Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) formally launched its official mouthpiece, Avirat Jatra, at Geleki Kamalabari in Nazira on Wednesday.
The publication was inaugurated in the presence of Pranab Baruah, Director of Geleki Tea Estate and a noted social worker, who attended the programme as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, speakers underscored the importance of constructive participation of students and youth in social and cultural development, while also highlighting the role of publications in spreading awareness and strengthening organisational values.
Edited by Ruhit Baruah and Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, Avirat Jatra has been dedicated to Jubin Garg, a former member of the organisation, with the hope that justice will prevail in his case. The dedication reflected AJYCP’s commitment to standing by its members and raising issues of social relevance.

The launch ceremony witnessed the presence of several distinguished personalities, including Sarpa Bandhu Dr Surajit Giri, Kamalabari representative Niranjan Gogoi and educationist Manju Gharfaliya Bora, along with representatives from various social and student organisations.
The event marked an important milestone for the AJYCP Nazira Regional Committee. The newly launched mouthpiece is expected to act as an effective platform to promote the ideals, values and ongoing activities of the organisation, while also articulating concerns related to Assam and its people.
