Guwahati: In a significant step towards promoting athlete health and sports medicine in the region, Apollo Excelcare Hospital hosted Olympic medalist Lovlina Borgohain at its Guwahati campus today.
During the visit, the hospital’s Directors and Management expressed heartfelt appreciation for Lovlina’s stellar achievements, which have brought immense pride to Assam and India. Marking the occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Apollo Excelcare Hospital and the Lovlina Boxing Academy to formalize a long-term collaboration focused on athlete welfare and medical excellence.

Under this partnership, Apollo Excelcare Hospital will provide annual complimentary health screenings, emergency medical support, and specialized sports medicine care to all academy athletes. The hospital will also extend privileges and concessional healthcare tariffs to athletes associated with the academy.
Present on the occasion were senior doctors including Dr. Neil Bardoloi, Dr. Manash Pratim Baruah, Dr. Bikash Bordoloi, Dr. Abhay Agarwal, along with CEO Thaomunglung Chukhrungfa and GM Manoranjan Kalita, informed Arnab Jyoti Das, PRO of the hospital.
