APSC CCE Preliminary Exam 2025: Guwahati Police Enforce Prohibitory Orders Around 15 Examination Centres

The Guwahati Police Commissionerate has enforced prohibitory restrictions around all 15 examination centres designated for the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) Preliminary Examination, 2025, to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the recruitment test scheduled for July 5.

The order, issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration) Nirupam Hazarika under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, is aimed at maintaining law and order and safeguarding the integrity of the examination process.

Officials stated that more than 13,500 candidates are expected to appear for the preliminary examination at centres located within the jurisdiction of the Guwahati Police Commissionerate.

Under the directive, the movement of unauthorised persons has been prohibited within a radius of 100 metres of every examination venue. Only candidates carrying valid admit cards, examination personnel, police officials deployed on duty, and authorised representatives of the APSC, district administration and government agencies will be permitted to enter the restricted zone.

The police said the decision was taken in view of concerns arising from previous recruitment examinations, where attempts were allegedly made to compromise the fairness of the process through the misuse of internet-based mobile applications and interference by outsiders.

The restrictions will remain in effect throughout July 5. Authorities have warned that anyone violating the prohibitory order will face legal action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
