Arunachal Headmistress Yaku Tame Selected for National Teachers Award 2026

ITANAGAR: Government Secondary School, G-Sector, Naharlagun headmistress Yaku Tame has been selected for the National Teachers Award 2026, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said.

Khandu congratulated Tame on her selection and said Arunachal Pradesh had once again produced a recipient of the prestigious national honour, describing it as a matter of pride for the state.

The National Teachers Awards are conferred by the Ministry of Education to recognise teachers for their outstanding contributions to school education and their impact on students.

The 2026 selection process has been completed, with the award ceremony scheduled around Teachers’ Day.

Khandu extended his best wishes to Tame and acknowledged her contribution to education in Arunachal Pradesh.
