Arunachal Pradesh Launches Skill Development Programme in Printing and Binding

Guwahati: The Arunachal Pradesh Government has launched a two-month skill development training programme to equip local unemployed youth with industry-specific skills in printing and binding, aiming to boost their employability and entrepreneurship potential.

The initiative, jointly organised by the Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the Department of Printing and Stationery, will train 35 local youths in offset machine operation and binding work, guided by 13 expert resource persons.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by key officials, including Nyali Ete, IAS, Secretary of the Department of Information and Public Relations; Bullo Mamu, IRS, Secretary of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship; Sibe Passing, Joint Secretary-cum-Director of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship; Gijum Tali, Director of IPR; and Heri Maring, Deputy Director of the Department of Printing and Stationery.

Speaking at the event, Bullo Mamu highlighted that the programme provides hands-on experience in printing technology, enabling participants to secure jobs or launch their own printing ventures. “This is the first of its kind in the state and will help transform the skill landscape by making our youth industry-ready,” he said.

Participants expressed gratitude, stating the programme offers a valuable opportunity to acquire practical skills and opens doors to sustainable livelihoods for the youth of Arunachal Pradesh.
