Ashok Singhal Unveils Digital Campaign Model Targeting 1 Lakh Voters in Dhekiajuli

Guwahati, April 5: BJP candidate from Dhekiajuli, Ashok Singhal, has announced a large-scale digital outreach strategy, describing it as an innovative campaign model aimed at engaging voters without conventional expenditure.

Speaking on April 5, Singhal said the initiative will be conducted across nearly 2,500 locations, with each venue hosting gatherings of around 40 to 50 voters. The campaign is expected to collectively reach approximately one to 1.25 lakh participants across the constituency.

The programme will centre around a live virtual address by the candidate, streamed simultaneously to all locations. The format is designed to allow voters to assemble locally, reducing the need for travel while ensuring wider accessibility.

Highlighting the approach, Singhal stated that the model involves minimal traditional campaign costs, as it avoids large rallies and associated logistical expenses. He claimed that such a digital outreach experiment has not been attempted by other candidates in assembly constituencies so far.

Expressing confidence in the party’s prospects, Singhal said the BJP has maintained a strong presence in Dhekiajuli over the past decade, with a steady rise in vote share. He added that the party is expecting to further increase its winning margin in the upcoming elections, citing continued public support.

He also criticised the Congress, alleging organisational weakness and lack of credible leadership, and claimed that the opposition has failed to present substantive issues before voters.

Projecting a broader electoral outcome, Singhal said the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is poised to secure a decisive mandate in the state.

The Dhekiajuli constituency in Sonitpur district remains a key seat to watch as campaigning intensifies ahead of the Assembly polls.
