Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has approved Rs 1.56 crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support 5,158 flood-affected undergraduate and postgraduate students in Sivasagar and Charaideo districts.
According to an order dated September 10, Rs 1,56,40,000 was transferred to the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam, to provide eligible students with financial assistance to purchase study materials.
The funds will be released to eligible students through the Directorate of Higher Education to help them meet their academic requirements and continue their studies after the floods.
