Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday paid a courtesy visit to Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya at Raj Bhavan and congratulated him on completing three years of gubernatorial service in Assam and Sikkim. During the meeting at Raj Bhavan, Guwahati, the Chief Minister extended his best wishes to the Governor and appreciated his guidance in steering the state through important administrative and developmental initiatives over the past three years.
Chief Minister Sarma also briefed the Governor on the progress made under various flagship schemes and policy measures of the state government. The discussions covered key developments in sectors such as infrastructure, social welfare, and governance reforms aimed at accelerating Assam’s overall growth and improving public service delivery.

Later, sharing details of the meeting on X, the Chief Minister said he had called on the Hon’ble Governor and apprised him of the progress being achieved under different government schemes and policies. The meeting was described as warm and cordial, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and coordination between the constitutional head of the state and the elected government.
