Duliajan: Assam Gas Company Limited (AGCL) celebrated its 65th Foundation Day on March 31 with a series of day-long programmes at its Duliajan premises, showcasing both corporate achievements and cultural vibrancy. The celebrations began with a marathon run early in the morning, followed by a floral tribute to noted Assamese artist Zubeen Garg. Chief General Manager Rubul Baruah hoisted the company flag in the presence of senior officials, including General Manager Pranjyoti Dutta and Deputy General Manager Debashish Phukan.

A group song performed by women employees added colour to the event. The programme was hosted by Prerana Bordoloi, while Nishinta Kumar Das delivered the welcome address. On the occasion, Managing Director Gokul Chandra Swargiary released the company’s theme song, composed by Diganta Bharatiya and rendered by popular singer Dikshu.
Vice Chairman Indra Gogoi unveiled the company’s half-yearly magazine Indhan, praising the initiative as a step toward strengthening the organisation’s growth and outreach. The morning session concluded with a vote of thanks by employees’ union president Bikram Baruah. The day also featured sports and recreational activities, culminating in an evening prize distribution ceremony and a cultural programme by invited artists.
