Guwahati: The Assam Police have confirmed that a third party played a role in the violent incident that broke out in Baksa district recently. Officials stated that several individuals involved in the clash have already been identified, and investigations are underway to determine their exact involvement.
According to police reports, around 35 policemen sustained injuries during the violence, which erupted under tense circumstances. The situation has since been brought under control, and authorities are maintaining strict vigilance to prevent any further unrest.
Clarifying rumours circulating on social media, Assam Police also confirmed that no action has been taken against fans of Zubeen Garg in connection with the incident. The department reiterated its commitment to conducting a fair and transparent investigation into the matter.
The police have appealed to the public to refrain from spreading misinformation and to cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies as the probe continues.
