Assam Team Leaves for National Cultural, Vedic Math Events

Guwahati: A 57-member contingent from Assam has departed from Guwahati by train to participate in two prestigious national events organized by Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan — the National Cultural Festival to be held from November 5 to 7, 2025, in Sitamarhi, Bihar, and the All India Vedic Mathematics Competition scheduled from November 6 to 9, 2025, in Jalandhar, Punjab.

Representing Vidya Bharati’s Northeast region under the Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam, the delegation comprises 38 students and 19 guiding teachers.

The team was given a warm send-off at the Assam Prakashan Bharati auditorium, where dignitaries extended their best wishes for a successful performance. Present at the farewell were Dr. Pawan Tiwari, Organization Minister of Vidya Bharati Northeast; Dr. Jagdeindra Raychoudhury, Regional Secretary; Jagannath Rajvanshi, General Secretary of Shishu Shiksha Samiti Assam; Ratul Deka, Provincial Head of the Sanskriti Bodh Project; and Mahananda Das, Regional Head of Vedic Mathematics.

The Assam contingent aims to proudly showcase the state’s rich cultural heritage and mathematical excellence at the national level, fostering knowledge exchange and celebrating the spirit of traditional learning and innovation.
