Guwahati: In a major boost to the state’s sporting calendar, the Assam Squash Rackets Association is set to host the Eastern Slam International Squash Championship in Guwahati from November 8.
The five-day tournament, to be held across two premier venues in the city, marks the first-ever edition of this prestigious event in Assam. The championship is expected to attract top national and international players, offering a platform for emerging talents from the Northeast to compete at a global level.

Organizers said the event aims to promote squash as a growing sport in Assam and strengthen the state’s position as a promising destination for international sports events.
