Guwahati: Assam delivered an outstanding performance at the 5th Sub-Junior Roll Ball Championship, held on December 6 and 7 at the Rudra Singha Roll Ball Ground in Guwahati, securing championship titles in both the boys’ and girls’ categories.
The two-day tournament witnessed energetic participation from multiple states, with Assam’s young athletes displaying exceptional skill, teamwork and determination. In the girls’ final, Assam defeated Jharkhand with an impressive 5–2 victory, showcasing strong defence and swift attacking play. In the boys’ final, Assam triumphed over Chhattisgarh, registering a solid 7–4 win to claim the championship.

The closing ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including Working President of the Assam Roll Ball Association Dipak Nath, Coordinator of the East Zone Roll Ball Association Chandeswer Kumar Sahu, General Secretary of the Assam Roll Ball Association Anikey Kashyap, and Secretary of the Sonitpur District Roll Ball Association Swapanali Khukan. They congratulated the young athletes for their remarkable achievement and encouraged them to continue excelling in future competitions.
Jharkhand secured third place in the boys’ category, while Arunachal Pradesh finished third among the girls. With this victory, Assam has once again reaffirmed its growing strength and promise in the sport of roll ball at the national level.
