I’m Team East Kameng claimed the championship at the 2nd State Level Basketball Tournament 2025, defeating Kamle district in a thrilling finale that highlighted the exceptional skill and rising talent of young basketball players from across Arunachal Pradesh.
Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) President Er. Taba Tedir attended the final as the Chief Guest and praised the energetic contest, calling it “truly inspiring.” He said the passion, discipline and competitive spirit displayed throughout the match reflected the strengthening sporting culture within the state. Tedir congratulated East Kameng for lifting the title and commended Kamle for emerging as the worthy runner-up, describing the match as a “joyous and heart-touching final” marked by remarkable sportsmanship from both sides.
He also extended warm appreciation to Guest of Honour Teli Kahi, Sports Officer at the Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA), for his encouragement and presence during the event. Tedir further thanked the Arunachal Pradesh Basketball Association (APBA) for its dedicated efforts in successfully organising the tournament, acknowledging the hard work that made the championship memorable for athletes, officials and spectators.
Emphasising the importance of sustained support for such initiatives, the AOA President said tournaments of this scale play a vital role in nurturing young talent and strengthening the spirit of sports in Arunachal Pradesh.
