Bodo Martyrs’ Cup Football Tournament reaches quarterfinals

Nagaon: The 28th Bodo Martyrs’ Cup Football Tournament, organized by the Bodo Martyrs’ Trust and managed by the Langhin Tiniali Sports Association, has reached its quarterfinals. The tournament is being held at the Garoimari Stadium in Langhin, Karbi Anglong.

       In the first quarterfinal match, Thabal FC from Hojai defeated Balaikhamar Football Academy from Goalpara with a score of 3-0. Thabal FC’s Aten Mitra scored the first goal in the 12th minute, followed by goals from BoboSena and Rajboy in the 78th minute respectively. The match was officiated by prominent referee Dhrubajyoti Kalita, assisted by Aman Bordoloi, Sadar Bey and Sankar Terang.

     Thabal FC’s Aten Mitra was awarded the best player of the match by Munindra Narzary, President of the Bodo Gaonburha Afad Karbi Anglong District Committee. In the next match, Kaliabar’s KFC will face Felkon FC from West Karbi Anglong’s Kheroni. The tournament is being held on a All Assam basis, and the matches are being keenly contested by teams from across the state.
