The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stepped up its efforts, with alliance candidate Naba Kumar Doley leading an aggressive outreach campaign. At a recent campaign meeting, more than fifty supporters from the Indian National Congress formally joined the BJP, signaling a shift in local political dynamics. Notably, a significant number of young voters were among the new entrants, expressing support for development-oriented politics. Observers noted that despite the intense heat, public participation in campaign events has remained strong. Political analysts believe this enthusiastic turnout indicates a favourable ground situation for Doley ahead of the April 9 polls.

Adding momentum to the campaign, senior leaders including Arun Sao and Pradan Baruah joined in canvassing efforts, further energising party workers and supporters. With just days remaining for polling, Dhakuakhana continues to witness a closely watched and dynamic electoral contest.
