Biswanath Chariali: The Employment Exchange, Biswanath organized a District-Level Career Counselling and Vocational Guidance Programme under the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training of Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, Government of Assam today at the auditorium of Biswanath College of Agriculture. The event was graced by distinguished personalities including Promod Borthakur, MLA Biswanath LAC, Dr Ranjan Kalita, Principal Rangapara College, Prankrishna Tamooli, Centre-in-charge, NIELIT, Tezpur, Dr Ranendra Nath Barman, Associate DEAN, BNCA, Sandeep Devnath, Lead District Manager(Indian Bank), Biswanath, Brazendra Das, Assistant Employment Officer, Santanu Shekhar Saikia, Young Professional under NCS Project, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Dr Rajib Narayan Kalita, District Project Manager, Assam Skill Development Mission, Biswanath, Hemanta Saikia, District Project Manager, Assam Skill Development Mission, Sonitpur.

The programme saw an enthusiastic participation of more than 300 students from various Higher Secondary Schools, Junior Colleges, ITIs, and Polytechnic institutions across the district.
The programme provided a platform for students to gain valuable insights into career planning and skill development. Key highlights included discussions on Opportunities in various sectors, Enrolment avenues in different institutes.
Speakers emphasized the importance of aligning career goals with skill development to become entrepreneurs and achieve self-reliance. The financial assistance available with Banking Institutions was also highlighted in the event. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A session led by Santanu Shekhar Saikia, who addressed student queries under the NCS project, Ministry of Labour & Employment. The event concluded on a high note with a vote of thanks offered by Brazendra Das.
