Celebrity Hairstylist Javed Habib, Son Booked in ₹7 Crore Bitcoin Fraud Case

New Delhi: Renowned hairstylist Javed Habib and his son Anos Habib are facing serious legal trouble after police confirmed that 23 fraud cases have been registered against them for allegedly duping investors of around ₹7 crore through a fake Bitcoin investment scheme.

Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Vishnoi said the duo, along with an associate named Saiful, operated under the banner of a company called FLC, luring investors with promises of 50–70% annual returns on Bitcoin investments. Each investor reportedly invested between ₹5 lakh and ₹7 lakh, hoping for high profits. However, more than two and a half years later, none have received any returns.

Investigators have so far identified at least 38 victims, and 23 FIRs have been lodged against the accused trio. “The scam appears to have been structured like an organised gang,” Vishnoi said.

Police have issued a lookout notice for both Javed and Anos Habib to prevent them from leaving the country. Authorities are also considering seizing their assets under Section 107 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita if they fail to compensate the defrauded investors. The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to trace the financial trail and recover funds siphoned off through the alleged Bitcoin fraud network.
