Chandra Kamal Bezbaruah College (CKB College), Teok, has been granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC), marking a significant milestone for the Assam institution.
Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu congratulated the college’s faculty, students, alumni and staff on the recognition, describing it as a reflection of the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.
Pegu expressed hope that the new status would create greater opportunities for academic growth, innovation and holistic development.
The autonomous status is expected to provide CKB College with greater academic flexibility and help strengthen its educational programmes and contribution to higher education in Assam.
