Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has once again reaffirmed that the sensational and mysterious death of singer Zubeen Garg was not accidental but a case of murder.
Speaking to the media after a public meeting in Biswanath, the Chief Minister declared, “Zubeen Garg’s death is not an accident, but a murder. I want to reaffirm.”
He announced that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been directed to submit its chargesheet by December 8, though the legal deadline for filing it is December 17. The Chief Minister’s renewed statement suggests that the investigation may have uncovered crucial facts about the case.
Earlier, Sarma had hinted that once the chargesheet is made public, it would stir strong emotions across Assam. “When the chargesheet is filed and the case is made public, people will be shocked, some will be sad and some will be angry,” he had remarked.
Zubeen Garg tragically passed away on September 19 while attending a yacht party off the coast of Singapore, leaving behind a legacy that continues to resonate deeply with millions of fans.
