Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Rise by Rs 9.50 From September 1

Commercial LPG cylinders became costlier from September 1 after oil marketing companies increased the price of 19-kg cylinders by Rs 9.50 in several major cities.

In Delhi, the price rose to Rs 2,747.50 from Rs 2,738, while in Chennai, it increased to Rs 2,916.50 from Rs 2,906.

The hike is expected to affect businesses such as restaurants, hotels, dhabas, sweet shops and bakeries that rely on commercial LPG, increasing their operating costs. However, the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remained unchanged.

Oil marketing companies revise LPG prices on the first day of every month, with rates varying across cities based on taxes and other charges.
