DG/RPF Visit to NFR Focuses on Security, Coordination and Infrastructure 

Guwahati: Sonali Mishra, Director General of the Railway Protection Force, conducted a two-day inspection of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) on April 5 and 6, focusing on strengthening security, coordination, and infrastructure development. During her visit to Guwahati, she attended an election briefing and participated in a Suraksha Sammelan at Rang Bhavan, where key infrastructure initiatives were reviewed. She also inspected the RPF Post at Guwahati and held a high-level meeting with the Director General of Police, Assam, along with senior officials to enhance coordination on security arrangements.

Mishra further held detailed discussions with Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager of NFR, and departmental heads on railway security, operational efficiency, and preparedness. She also reviewed ongoing railway projects in the Northeast with Ashish Bansal, focusing on security aspects.

The DG/RPF reviewed the progress of an office-cum-barrack project at the PCSC Reserve Company in Maligaon, aimed at strengthening RPF infrastructure and operational capacity. She emphasized heightened vigilance, seamless coordination, and proactive measures to ensure safe and uninterrupted railway operations, especially in view of election preparedness. The visit underscores NFR’s commitment to enhancing railway security, upgrading infrastructure, and ensuring improved passenger safety across the region.
