DHAKUAKHANA, Sept 8: A businessman was allegedly locked inside a house and murdered in Baligaon, Dhakuakhana, on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Pranav Jain, brother of businessman Prakash Jain of Baligaon. He had reportedly gone missing around 1 pm, and the murder came to light later during a police search.
Police identified another businessman, Dhananjay Sahu, as the accused. Preliminary investigation suggested that Sahu had allegedly locked Jain inside a room at his residence before committing the murder.
Dhakuakhana police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the incident. The exact motive behind the murder remained unclear, with police examining the circumstances leading to the alleged crime.
The incident triggered concern among local residents, who demanded stringent action against the accused.
