DIBRUGARH, Oct 12: Former Dibrugarh University Postgraduate Students’ Union (PGSU) president and All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) state executive member Dhrubajyoti Kalita resigned from the student organisation on Sunday.
The reason for his resignation has not been made public. Neither Kalita nor the AASU leadership has issued a statement explaining the circumstances behind his departure.
Kalita previously led the university’s postgraduate students’ union and was a prominent figure in student politics in Dibrugarh. His future plans following the resignation remain unclear.
