Biswanath Chariali: Dibya Acharya of Biswanath brought laurels to Biswanath by achieving the Bronze medal in 69th National School Games held in Manipur. Dibya cracked the medal winning international Medalist from Maharashtra in the Wushu event in 52 kg women category in the national mega sports events this time. Dibya represented Assam being selected by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of Assam Government.

The events occurred from January 14 to 17. She was a regular player of Gameri Sports Academy under Biswanath Wushu Association and is appearing in the 12th Final examination 2026 from Gyan Bharati Senior Secondary School, Gohpur. She was trained by Rituraj Biswakarma, a state coach of Wushu, Kick-Boxing and other related events. She is the only daughter of Bhakta Prasad Acharya and Kamala Devi Acharya of Chandamari, Gohpur. On her arrival at Helem railway station on 19 January the Gameri Sports Academy officials, players and many Well-wishers greeted Dibya for this glorious achievement in presence of Raju Gautam, Rimpee Barik, Durga Bhattarai, Manoj Biswakarma, journalist Palash Phukan, Arbinda Newar and many others.
