Guwahati, May 4: As the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance maintained a strong lead in Assembly election trends in Assam, party leader Dilip Saikia said the renewed public mandate has increased the party’s responsibility towards the people.
Speaking to reporters in Guwahati, Saikia stated that the government would continue to prioritise development and governance over the next five years. He emphasised that the focus would remain on delivering public services and strengthening growth across the state.
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for the BJP’s strong electoral performance, noting that Assam had witnessed significant development under their leadership.
Saikia added that the government would work towards ensuring improved governance and public welfare, reiterating the party’s commitment to meeting the expectations of the electorate.
