DULIAJAN, Sept 19: The Rotary Club of Duliajan, in collaboration with Duliajan College, organised a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) demonstration at the college on Friday to honour singer Zubeen Garg and raise awareness of emergency lifesaving techniques.
More than 200 students, teachers, Rotarians and guests attended the programme, which began at 10 am. Dr Giriraj Chakusaru, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Oil Medical Services, led the session with theoretical and practical demonstrations on the importance of CPR.
Rotarian Partha Pratim Phukan, District Chair–CPR, RID 3240, Aizawl, also participated in the programme. Rotary Club of Duliajan president Rtn Bimal Borgohain, secretary Rtn Madhurjya Sarmah and other club members attended the event.
Participants appreciated the initiative. Club president Bimal Borgohain thanked the Principal of Duliajan College for facilitating the session and Dr Chakusaru and Rtn Phukan for their participation.
