Nagaon, June 4: A domestic dispute in Assam’s Nagaon district has drawn public attention after allegations surfaced that two married individuals had eloped, reportedly leaving behind six children between their families.
According to family members, Dildar Hussain, a resident of the Rupahi area, is alleged to have left his wife and three children and gone away with the wife of Imradul Hussain, from Purba Kawaimari under the jurisdiction of Kampur Police Station.
Relatives further alleged that Imradul Hussain’s wife also left behind her husband and three children before leaving with Dildar Hussain. As a result, both families now claim that six children have been left without the care of one parent each.
Local sources said the situation has created serious concern over the welfare of the children. It is reported that Dildar Hussain’s wife is currently struggling to look after her three children, while Imradul Hussain is also caring for his three children in the absence of their mother.
Following the incident, both Dildar Hussain’s wife and Imradul Hussain are said to have lodged separate complaints at Rupahi Police Station, seeking assistance in tracing their respective spouses.
Police have acknowledged receipt of the complaints and have initiated an examination of the matter. Further investigation is underway.
