New Delhi: A fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon in a building located near Gate No. 31 of Rashtrapati Bhavan, prompting a swift response from emergency services, officials confirmed.
According to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), the blaze originated from domestic items on the ground floor of a two-storey building. The incident was reported at 1:51 pm, following which five fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the site.
“The fire was brought under control by 2:15 pm,” a DFS official said, confirming that no injuries or casualties occurred.
This incident comes just two days after a massive fire broke out at an MP’s apartment complex on Delhi’s high-security BD Marg on October 19. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in that case either.
